Superman & Lois begins its final season on The CW

On 7 October 2024, Superman & Lois began its farewell. The fourth and final season premiered on The CW with a two-hour opener, bringing Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch back as Clark and Lois for one last run.

What we know

The CW had first set the premiere for 17 October before moving it forward to 7 October on a new night, keeping the two-hour launch. The season ran to ten episodes, a shorter order agreed when the network confirmed in November 2023 that this would be the show’s last.

Michael Cudlitz’s Lex Luthor loomed over the final run, alongside the family story of Clark, Lois and their teenage sons that had always been the show’s heart.

Why it matters

Superman & Lois was the last of The CW’s DC dramas and a much-loved take on Superman as a family man. It finished in December 2024, months before James Gunn’s film arrived.
