On 13 April 2026, Warner Bros. Discovery and DC revealed their biggest Superman Day yet. The celebration on 18 April 2026 would span several countries, and this year it made room for Supergirl and Krypto too.
What we know
Superman Day marks the anniversary of Action Comics #1, which introduced the Man of Steel on 18 April 1938. For 2026, the plans included Daily Planet-themed pop-up newsstands in Los Angeles, Milan and Fuzhou, plus a new attraction, Superman Experience: Defenders Unite, opening that day on Stage 5 at the Warner Bros. Studios lot in Burbank.
Comic shops were encouraged to host events, with special editions including a Superman Day edition of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow #1. On screen, HBO Max set up a Superman Day hub, and TBS ran a marathon of Superman-themed Big Bang Theory episodes. Supergirl and Krypto’s prominent role was a nod to the Supergirl film, due in June.
