My Adventures with Superman gets a 6 July premiere on Adult Swim
The animated series My Adventures with Superman, starring Jack Quaid and Alice Lee, is set to premiere on Adult Swim on 6 July 2023.
On 5 June 2023, Superman fans got a date for something genuinely fresh. DC confirmed that My Adventures with Superman, an anime-inspired take on a young Clark Kent, would premiere on Adult Swim on 6 July 2023, with episodes on Max the next day.
What we know
The series reimagines Clark, Lois and Jimmy as twenty-somethings starting out in Metropolis. Clark is still working out his powers and his Kryptonian origins, Lois is an ambitious young reporter chasing her big break, and Jimmy is the friend and would-be photographer who rounds out the trio.
The voice cast was led by Jack Quaid as Clark, Alice Lee as Lois and Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy. DC released a trailer and key art alongside the date announcement, and the bright, romantic tone stood out from the darker Superman screen outings of the previous decade.
Why it matters
At the time, nobody knew quite how warmly the show would be received. It went on to run for three seasons, with the third arriving in June 2026, and helped introduce Superman to a younger audience. It sits outside the new DC Studios continuity, as our DCU watch order explains. For the many faces of Lois over the years, see every actress who has played Lois Lane.
